Trapping season on Wolves began on November 15, 2011 in Idaho. It is a horrific practice that causes great suffering for the Wolves who get caught up in them. If you would like to educate yourself on just what this means for the Wolves there, please read this forum post.
If you want to comment on a plan to end Federal protection for Wolves in Wyoming, I beg you to take the time to read this forum post and follow the link to comment. Under Wyoming’s Wolf Management Plan, Wolves would be classified as unprotected predators in most areas allowing them to be shot on sight. Comments must be received before January 13, 2012. Do it now so you don’t forget, please.
A total of 242 Gray Wolves have been hunted, snared, trapped in Idaho and Montana this season. You could keep track of this alarming number here.
