Mack was retired military and shared his home with Shiloh a Shepherd and a turtle. Both animals lived the good life with Mack and he would do anything to make them happy and comfortable. He lost Shiloh at 13 years old last June and I felt a bit of Mack go with her. He later adopted a senior dog, that would have otherwise been put down, who he once again named Shiloh that was 13 years old. Barry was kind enough to take Shiloh II in when Mack had to be hospitalized for his illness. Words feel inadequate to describe how I feel about Mack and how much I’ll miss him. I’d like to share a few articles with you from previous newsletter articles, see links below. I think of Mack everyday as I walk into the Wolf enclosure. I see the 13 signs with his name hung at the top of the fence. He will never be forgotten at WHAP. You will always be “The Man” to me, Mack. I know you have been reunited with your Girl, Shiloh and that makes me smile. Rest in peace, Mack. I miss you.
