Mule Deer
The Mule Deer is a medium sized deer, with a stocky body and long, sturdy legs. In summer they are reddish-brown and winter more of a grayish color. Their undersides and insides of their legs are white. The tail is white tipped with black. The Mule Deer has very large ears, hence it's name.
The males typically run between 110-475lbs.
This picture was taken at Wolf Howl Animal Preserve on 7/19/04. The preserve had a busy day with three wild Mule Deer's visiting.
