"Hunting and Predators--Does it make sense?
Instances, examples and studies back up the author's article regarding the social chaos created by hunting. By illustrating an imaginary hunted pack, the results of disrupting the gray wolves' highly social relationships by randomly killing them shows that this only leads to more human conflict and the need to kill more.
I found the comment that pro wolfers were willing to destroy more wolves than the management of wolves would kill in order to destroy hunting interesting. Not the inference but the larger threat of Wildlife Services over hunters.
(In 2009, Wildlife Services was reported to have killed 480 wolves.)
