An Honorable Mention in the 11-17 year old category was given to Hope Dunlap of Maryland, an 8th grade student. Her entry is a story entitled "The Wolf and the Oriole". The Judges felt that Ms. Dunlap's entry was imaginative, well written and original. Here is Hope Dunlap's entry.
Honorable Mention in this Adult category goes to Nathan Fluevog of Canada. He is a first year College Student. He tells us that he seems to have a natural curiosity and desire to better understand the world, and especially the animals he shares it with, and to share that understanding with others if he can. Nathan submitted a very original essay. He put himself into the paws of a Wolf and came up with this original and wonderful entry entitled, The Voice of the Wild. Here is Nathan Fluevog's entry.
