The Wolves in Fall at Wolf Howl Animal Preserve by Maria Ferguson

Wolf with pumpkin picture

Normally, my favorite season is Fall in Northeast Mississippi.  This year we were plagued with rain just like so many other areas in the South.  The Wolves don’t like it and either do I.  We had rain for most of September and October so you can see we’ve had our fill.  It makes all the work we planned get put on hold.  One of the projects was putting 5” rock along the perimeter of the fence to prevent erosion and hopefully keep things dryer for the Wolves.  Unfortunately, we didn’t get to start this project until this week.  Since we have to haul an entire truckload in by wheelbarrow, this may take awhile.

All Wolves are doing well.  They are getting their beautiful thick winter coats on.  They love the cool evenings and mornings and when it’s not raining howl the night away.  Everyone has been so affectionate with me as hormones are gearing up for the winter breeding season.

I’ve added some pictures to the Wolf picture gallery that I took during the month.  Enjoy.
