5 Wolf Pups receive wellness check prior to their journey into the wild

Five Mexican gray wolf pups born at the Endangered Wolf Center in Eureka, Missouri are on their way to being released into the wild.
Veterinarians conducted wellness check-ups and gave initial vaccinations to the wolves Thursday morning. They will eventually be released into the wild.
They are frightened and have an extremely dangerous and tough job ahead preserving their critically endangered species. Oh, gee, they are so mucho adorable.

Did you hear the adult Wolves distress howling in the background? I hope and wish the best for these pups but the odds are against them.

The pups are only 8 weeks old.
